HOURS: Flexible Daytime Hours

** Hybrid On-Site - Position requires in office attendance to be at least 1-3 days per week, not fully remote
In this role you will:
Research and reconcile denied and unpaid medical claims, no fault, and workers’ compensation claims
Collect reimbursements for services rendered by reviewing insurance carriers reject reports, EOB’s and or correspondence
Use established protocols to contact providers and clients to resolve discrepancies in processed, partially paid and unpaid claims with timely appropriate follow up action
Along with other tasks assigned by your supervisor, up to and including customer service support/answering patient calls
Review claims for possible refunds to insurance and/or patients
Research claims rejected by clearing house
All other tasks necessary to collect on unpaid claims, along with other tasks assigned by your supervisor, up to and including customer service support/answering patient calls
All you need is:
High School Diploma or GED
Medical Billing Certification, preferred
Coding Certification, a plus
Laboratory experience, a plus
Strong computer skills with proficiency or knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word
At least two years experience in denials or accounts receivable, preferred
Salary range is $18.00 - 22.00. Pay is commensurate with experience; geographic differentials to the pay range may apply.
