Description We are offering a permanent employment opportunity for a Medical Billing Specialist. In this role, you will be tasked with a range of responsibilities, from processing insurance claims to ensuring timely payments. This position is in the healthcare industry, and your workplace will be a non-profit organization dedicated to providing superior healthcare services. Responsibilities: • Accurately coding procedures and diagnoses for the purpose of medical records and billing • Collaborating with healthcare providers and insurance companies to address discrepancies and inaccuracies in claims • Complying with HIPAA laws, including those pertaining to confidentiality, when handling medical information • Providing clear answers to patients' billing inquiries while upholding high customer service standards • Ensuring payments from patients and insurance companies are received in a timely manner • Reviewing accounts for potential assignment and offering recommendations to the billing supervisor • Performing various administrative tasks as required • Processing and submitting insurance claims on behalf of patients • Validating patients' insurance information and performing insurance verification for medical services. Requirements • Proficiency in Billing Functions is necessary. • Must have experience in Claim Administration. • Expertise in Medical Billing is required. • Familiarity with Medical Billing - UB92 is a must.
