Description Description We are offering a contract to permanent employment opportunity for a Medical Billing Specialist in Bremerton, Washington. This role will be integral to our team, focusing on medical billing and claims. The candidate will be expected to handle various responsibilities related to customer credit applications, customer records, and customer inquiries. Responsibilities: • Accurately process customer credit applications, focusing on medical claims and billing • Maintain and update customer credit records, ensuring accuracy at all times • Handle medical billing and coding, including CPT & Diagnostic Coding • Conduct regular communication with insurance providers to resolve claim issues • Perform data entry tasks and system reconciliations to ensure the accuracy of billing data • Execute internal audits to maintain the integrity of the billing process • Focus on appeals and denials in medical claims • Post payments and monitor customer accounts for necessary action • Utilize Medisoft, Microsoft Excel, and other relevant software in performing tasks • Follow up on accounts receivable and take appropriate action. Requirements Requirements • Possess expertise in medical billing and coding procedures. • Proficiency in Medisoft is a prerequisite. • Demonstrable experience with accounts receivable (AR) is required. • Familiarity with medical claims and claim denials is a must. • Proficient in handling appeals related to medical billing. • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is necessary. • Must have experience with insurance follow-up procedures. • Ability to understand and apply medical billing guidelines and procedures. • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
