Description We are looking for a skilled Medical Billing Specialist to join our team in the healthcare industry, located in New York, New York. In this role, you will be tasked with accurately processing medical billing tasks, reviewing medical claim denials, and rebilling them under specific plans. The position offers a long term contract employment opportunity. Responsibilities: • Review and analyze medical claim denials from the years 2016 to 2023. • Rebill the denied medical claims under the Medicaid plan. • Ensure accurate and efficient processing of medical billing tasks. • Utilize the E-Clinical Works software in performing daily tasks. • Maintain a high level of attention to detail in all work. • Use medical billing and coding skills, including ICD-10 and ICD CPT codes, in daily tasks. • Quickly adapt to new tasks and responsibilities within the role. • Maintain accurate records of all medical billing activities. Requirements • Proficiency in Medical Billing is a must for this role. • Comprehensive understanding and proficiency in Medical Coding. • Knowledge and experience with ICD-10 is required. • Familiarity with ICD CPT is essential for the role. • Experience with eClinicalWorks software is highly desirable. • A minimum of 2 years experience in a similar role is necessary. • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills are crucial. • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines. • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal. • Knowledge of medical terminologies and procedures. • Ability to maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA guidelines. • Proficiency in using Office Suite, particularly Excel. • Ability to multi-task and manage multiple projects simultaneously. • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to make decisions independently. • Demonstrated ability to work as part of a team.
