Medical Clinic Operator
Description We are seeking someone with a Friendly personality to direct calls! We are partnered with an orthopedic practice in the Kansas City metro area seeking a Medical Clinic Operator to join their diverse and inclusive team. The Medical Clinic Operator operates the clinic telephone system, supplies information to callers, direct calls to the appropriate person or department and provides the utmost in customer service. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: 1. Take incoming calls to the switchboard Clinic while providing excellent customer service. 2. Channel calls to appropriate staff. 3. Respond to emergency calls per established procedure. 4. Adhere to all HIPAA compliance regulations regarding patient confidentiality 5. Provide coverage for all others within the receptionist team. 6. Any and all duties assigned such as schedule appointments for patients with providers per their individual protocols with courtesy and timeliness. ESSENTIAL DUTIES: • Courteously and efficiently answers all incoming calls and connects callers with the correct extension. • Takes and relays messages in an accurate and timely manner. • Responds to emergency and urgent calls from patients in a timely manner. • Directs callers immediately to clinical staff as necessary. • Performs operator functions including triaging calls; connecting and transferring calls; setting up conference calls; instructing users on telephone procedures; and reporting telephone and equipment malfunctions to the appropriate party. • Provides a pleasant and helpful phone contact for callers. #centralpriority25 Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $19.50/hr.
