Medical Data Entry Clerk
Description We are offering a short term contract employment opportunity for a Medical Data Entry Clerk in Sanford, North Carolina. This role is primarily focused on an inventory project, dealing with medical records that need to be digitally processed. The job function lies within the healthcare industry and you will be working in a fast-paced office environment. Responsibilities: • Accurately scan and digitize medical records that have not been processed since 2019 • Use Adobe Acrobat, Allscripts, and other related software to process and maintain records • Efficiently handle high volume data entry tasks • Utilize Armed Forces Health Longitudinal Technology Application (AHLTA), Care Compass, and Cerner Technologies for various tasks • Conduct electronic filing and ensure all records are properly stored and easily retrievable • Provide support in claim administration and clinical trial operations • Handle inbound calls and resolve customer inquiries in a timely manner • Monitor and manage customer accounts, taking appropriate action when necessary • Perform billing functions and maintain accurate charts and graphs • Train and bring new team members up to speed on all operations and procedures. Requirements • Proficiency in Adobe Acrobat is required for managing, editing, and sharing documents. • Familiarity with Allscripts for streamlining clinical, financial, and operational tasks. • Experience with Armed Forces Health Longitudinal Technology Application (AHLTA) is necessary for maintaining healthcare records. • Knowledge of Care Compass for tracking patient care and coordinating services. • Competency in using Cerner Technologies to enhance health information exchange. • Ability to handle answering inbound calls professionally and efficiently. • Experience in performing billing functions, including preparing invoices and managing accounts. • Proficiency in creating and interpreting charts and graphs for data visualization. • Knowledge of claim administration processes including submission, tracking, and follow-up. • Familiarity with clinical trial operations, including planning, execution, and reporting.
