Medical Director, US Medical Affairs Oncology, NUBEQA 

 

As a key member of the US Medical Affairs Oncology team, the Medical Director, NUBEQA will lead the development and execution of US medical strategy for NUBEQA, ensuring connection between the US medical strategy and the near- and long-term outcomes for the program(s)/brand(s) throughout their lifecycle.

 

The Medical Director, NUBEQA will provide high quality scientific and medical support to all internal stakeholders, while ensuring adherence to the highest standards of ethics and compliance. The Medical Director will also ensure the incorporation of customer insights into medical strategy.

 

YOUR TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

 

The primary responsibilities of this role, Medical Director, US Medical Affairs Oncology, NUBEQA, are to:

 

Serve as a disease area medical expert for stakeholders across internal functions, as well as engage with external customers, including health care professionals, and patient advocacy groups;Lead the development and execution of the US Medical Affairs strategy for NUBEQA, throughout its development as well as end-to-end execution of the strategy;Ensure design and execution of the US Medical Affairs activities for which they are responsible are in accordance wth internal and external compliance guidelines;Lead the development and execution of Integrated Evidence Plans and Disease Area Plans, and provide input into Medical Information Documents;Active participation and effective collaboration with global teams to provide US medical input into Life Cycle Management strategy;Support the development of Investigational New Drug (IND) applications, New Drug Applications (NDAs) and supplemental New Drug Applications (sNDAs);Provide appropriate US Medical Affairs input and participation into interactions with the FDA;Ensure completion of annual New Drug Application (NDA) reports for NUBEQA;Lead the design, implementation, and pull-through of US Medical Affairs Advisory Boards.

WHO YOU ARE

 

Bayer seeks an incumbent who possesses the following:

 

Required Qualifications:

M.D. or D.O. required, Oncology and tumor type knowledge in both existing drugs and new fields of exploration;Relevant biopharmaceutical industry, clinical and/or academic work experience;Understanding of clinical study design, analysis and interpretation as well as the principles of observational studies and health economics/ outcomes research;Demonstrated capability for strategic planning along with operations skill and experience related to clinical research involving both single and multiple centers;Proven record of excellent project management skills and experience;Strong ability to quickly build meaningful and trusting relationships, both internally and externally to the organization;Understanding of the drug development process over different stages;Strong ability to connect and collaborate across different functions and background, both internally and externally to the organization;Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written;Willingness and ability to travel as business dictates, both for internal and external functions.

Preferred Qualifications:

Board Certified or Board Eligible in Medical Oncology or related specialty, preferred;5 years work experience in the pharmaceutical sector in Medical Affairs, Clinical Development or related positions;Experience in leading and participating in teams across cultures and geographies, prior experience in medical launch planning activities;Experience in Medical Information;Demonstrated ability to deliver complex projects under challenging timelines.
