General Summary
Provides psychiatric services to patients in the Child and Adolescent Program, and other specialized outpatient behavioral health programs as required. Assists in the review of quality, adequacy and appropriateness of resident education within the program.
WellSpan Behavioral Health is seeking a board certified/eligible Outpatient Medical Director - Adult Psychiatrist to join an established practice in Chambersburg, PA. This well-established group is highly respected and has a large, loyal referral base. This is a full-time opportunity providing clinical direction and leadership to the staff for outpatient Behavioral Health Services.
About the Position:
+ Provides onsite psychiatric supervision at least 4 hours per week
+ Provides medical direction for clinical quality and appropriateness, operational efficiency, scheduling, performance improvement, and documentation
+ Collegial team with Psychiatrists, Nurse Practitioners, Therapists and Social Workers
+ Assists with building and maintaining positive culture and team engagement

Qualifications
Minimum Education:
+ Doctor of Medicine (MD) Required or
+ Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) Required
Licenses:
+ Licensed Medical Physician and Surgeon Upon Hire Required or
+ Licensed Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine Upon Hire Required
Courses and Training:
+ Diplomate of the American Board of Psychiatry or the American Osteopathic Board of Psychiatry. Upon Hire Required and
+ Completion of a Psychiatry residency and a fellowship in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry. Upon Hire Required and
+ Must qualify and be a member of the Medical Staff of York Hospital. Upon Hire Required

+ Teaching skills.
