RESPONSIBILITIES: 

Continuously improve the safety culture of the site. Provide primary healthcare services to employees, diagnosing and treating common illnesses and injuries. Manage medical emergencies on-site, stabilize patients, and coordinate medical evacuations if necessary. Conduct occupational health assessments and monitor work-related medical conditions. Collaborate with nurses and medical staff to ensure efficient healthcare delivery. Implement preventive healthcare programs, including health awareness campaigns and vaccination programs. Maintain and update medical records in compliance with industry regulations. Work closely with the Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) team to promote workplace health and safety.

DUTIES:

Primary Healthcare Services Emergency and Trauma Care Occupational Health & Safety Infection Control & Disease Prevention Health Education & Employee Wellness Documentation & Compliance Coordination & Team Leadership Research & Continuous Improvement Crisis Management & Disaster Preparedness Community Health Engagement Other duties as required Compliance with ISO 14001 and 45001 Standards.

QUALIFICATION & REQUIREMENTS:

Education: Medical degree (MD or equivalent) from a recognized institution. Certifications: Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), Advanced Trauma Life Support (ATLS), and International Trauma Life Support (ITLS) certifications are highly desirable.

EXPERIENCE & SKILLS REQUIREMENTS: 

Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in primary healthcare, with at least 2 years in an emergency response or occupational health setting.  Experience in industrial, remote site, or mining environments is highly preferred. Strong knowledge of emergency medical care and trauma management. Familiarity with occupational health protocols and workplace medical procedures. Ability to work independently in a remote setting. Excellent communication and teamwork skills. Efficiency with Microsoft word, outlook, PowerPoint and access. Proficiency in medical software and patient record management. English fluency is an asset.
