The Medical Education Specialist position works closely with the Sr. Medical Affairs and Education Managers (Sr. MAMs) and cross-functionally with other departments, as needed, in the planning, creating and execution of Medical Education activities and outputs, in line with Medical Education and the Medical Affairs plan. In addition, the Medical Education Specialist will support other activities, as needed to produce outputs required by the organization.
Responsibilities:
Works collaboratively with the Sr. MAMs and the Medical Program Manager and other internal stakeholders to deliver on Medical Education events including promotion of upcoming events through social media, e-blasts, customer mailing lists etc. as appropriate to attract a suitable audience to events.Manages timely submission and review of speaker decks by liaising with speakers and managing review through APPROVE system. Follows up with speakers regarding any changes and presentation logistics.Manages social media notifications and all digital platforms used in promoting Medical Education events.Creates new learning modules on select topics and updates existing modules for physician-based training with new publication data aligned with organizational strategic objectives and both commercial and clinical priorities for varying geographies.Supports Sr. MAMs with select tasks, as needed.Maintain clinical study competitor intelligence tracker and report on new clinical study starts, terminations and completions of interest to the business.Identify and implement any process improvement tactics to ensure effective communication, transparency and streamlining of medical education information and promotion to medical community, as appropriate.Conducts post-education program evaluations of content and faculty, remaining aware of all changes that may impact training requirements, and implement changes/improvements to training protocols and materials accordingly.Maintains communication cadence with program faculty and cross functional areas regarding Medical Education and Symposia activities ie: Field Sales and Field Medical, Marketing, Clinical.Leads communication of contracting needs with Specialist, Sr. Customer Education to ensure proper lead-time and execution of speaker & trainer agreements, prior to services performedRequirements:
Bachelor’s Degree required; BS in the Life Sciences preferredExperience working within Medical Education in the Medical Device or Pharmaceutical Industry preferredCurrent knowledge on using varying digital platforms to promote scientific eventsExperience working in Medical Affairs and/or Clinical research functions including implementation of tactics within medical strategic plans and/or medical education initiativesTherapeutic area knowledge in oncology is desired.Skills and Attributes:

The potential base pay range for this role is 60,000 - 75,000 annually. The actual base pay offered may vary based on a number of factors including job-related qualifications such as knowledge, skills, education, and experience; location; and/or schedule (full or part-time). Dependent on the position offered, incentive plans, bonuses, and/or other forms of compensation may be offered, in addition to a range of health and welfare and/or other benefits.
