Fraser is seeking a Medical Eligibility & Prior Authorizations Coordinator to support our Revenue Cycle team with data entry, verifying insurance eligibility and obtaining prior authorization for services. People who are successful in this position will have a high attention to detail, be flexible, and are able to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Being a positive team player is a must.
Qualifications:
High School diploma required. BA/BS/AAS in related field such as medical billing or health information preferred. Experience working with medical insurance and/or prior authorizations is preferred. Computer proficiency using Outlook, Word and Excel. Commitment to promoting diversity, multiculturalism, and inclusion with a focus on culturally responsive practice, internal self-awareness and reflection.Primary Responsibilities:
Perform eligibility and benefit coverage checks for client services and enter benefit coverage information in the Electronic Health Records. Analyze reports, track, and obtain the necessary authorizations for all client services. Proactively and professionally communicate with providers and third party payers to obtain necessary documentation and information. Accurately record status of prior authorization requests in the expected timeframe and with required documentation. Communicate with families in regards to insurance coverage or prior authorizations.
