Medical Front Desk Coordinator
Description We are in search of a Receptionist to become a part of our healthcare team, located in Hackettstown, New Jersey. The successful candidate will be tasked with overseeing the front desk operations of our medical facility. The role involves managing patient check-ins, scheduling appointments, and ensuring effective communication between patients and medical staff. Responsibilities: • Managing patient check-ins and ensuring a smooth process. • Scheduling appointments for patients according to their convenience and availability of medical staff. • Maintaining accurate patient records to ensure smooth operations. • Handling inquiries from patients and providing them with the necessary information. • Facilitating communication between patients and medical staff to ensure timely treatment. • Using Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, and Microsoft Outlook to manage and organize files and data. • Answering multi-line phone system to assist with customer service and inquiries. • Conducting data entry tasks to record patient information and appointments. • Corresponding through email to address patient queries and concerns. • Utilizing basic medical terminology knowledge in daily operations. • Verifying medical insurance details of patients as required. Requirements • Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Receptionist or similar role within the Healthcare/NHS sector • Proficiency in using Microsoft Office Suite applications, including Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Outlook, and Microsoft Word • Experience with answering a multi-line phone system and managing email correspondence • Strong customer service skills, with the ability to interact professionally with patients, family members, and healthcare professionals • Proficiency in data entry and organizing files • Experience in scheduling appointments, both in-person and over the phone • Familiarity with basic medical terminology • Experience with medical insurance verification procedures • Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to work well in a team and communicate effectively with diverse groups • High level of organization and attention to detail.
