Description We are offering a long-term contract employment opportunity for a Medical Front Desk Specialist in Towson, Maryland. This role involves a variety of tasks related to patient registration and medical record management in the healthcare industry. Responsibilities: • Accurately register patients for surgical procedures • Create and manage paper charts for patients • Ensure efficient and accurate filing of patient charts • Handle the scanning and digital archiving of medical documents • Use EMR (Electronic Medical Records) and EHR systems like Allscripts and Epic EMR for patient data management • Respond to and manage inbound calls from patients • Conduct patient check-ins and handle billing functions • Create and interpret charts and graphs for patient data visualization Requirements • Applicant must possess a minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role. • Proficiency in using healthcare software like Allscripts and Epic EMR is mandatory. • Familiarity with EHR SYSTEM is expected. • Capable of efficiently answering and managing inbound calls. • Responsible for executing all billing functions accurately. • Ability to create and interpret charts and graphs effectively. • Must be adept at checking in patients and managing their records. • Familiarity with EMR (Electronic Medical Records) is crucial.
