**Medical informatics Specialist** **Location:** **Larkin Bldg @ Exchange Street** **Location of Job** **: US:NY:Buffalo** **Work Type** **: Full-Time** **Shift 1** **Job Description** **The Medical Informatics Specialist (MIS) plays a critical role in enhancing the intersection of healthcare and technology with a strong focus on supporting physicians. This position requires a deep passion for medical informatics and a commitment to advancing the vision and strategic goals of Kaleida Health's Medical Informatics Department. The MIS is responsible for maintaining an end-user-centered approach to clinical information systems, focusing specifically on optimizing technology adoption, efficiency, and overall physician satisfaction. Key responsibilities include the design, analysis, testing, documentation, implementation, and ongoing support of clinical information systems. The MIS will work closely with physicians and other healthcare providers to ensure that technology solutions are seamlessly integrated into clinical workflows, promoting the use of evidence-based practices, and standardizing processes across the system. This role emphasizes improving clinical outcomes, enhancing physician productivity, and driving quality improvements through the effective use of technology. The MIS will serve as a key liaison between clinicians, IT teams, and business operations to optimize the Epic EHR system and other clinical technologies. This involves providing ongoing training and support to physicians, identifying opportunities for workflow improvements, and assisting in the efficient and effective use of clinical systems to drive patient care improvements. Additionally, the MIS will collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, including IT, business operations, and governance councils, to support initiatives focused on data collection, clinical content development, and workflow analysis. This role requires the MIS to understand the technical aspects of EHR systems, including their integration with other clinical tools, to improve user experience, patient outcomes, and clinical effectiveness.** **Education And Credentials** **Bachelor's degree in healthcare or related field required. Valid New York State driver's license is required.** **Experience** **Experience in Healthcare or Customer Service required. Excellent communication and customer service skills required.
