Vitalant is opening up a new Reference Lab in Lewiston, Idaho and we are seeking a team of dedicated Lab Professionals to join us.  We are looking for a Lead Medical Lab Laboratory Scientist to bring skilled technical support to the hospital transfusion service for St. Joseph Regional Medical Center in Lewiston, ID.

What to Expect 

Schedule: Dayshift ; rotating weekends and holidays. 

Paid Training:  Will be held in Spokane, WA and we will provide hotel accommodations and meal/mileage reimbursement.

As a Med Lab Scientist, you’ll get to:  

Perform high complexity testing in immunohematology, including antibody identification, antigen typing, elution, and crossmatch. Provide technical support to hospital transfusion services. Review and report test results, participate in investigative studies, participate in quality control, preventative maintenance, and validations. Conduct training, observations, competency assessments and documentation. Participate in technical investigative studies. Bachelor’s degree in chemical, physical, biological, medical technology or clinical laboratory science required. Certification as a Medical Technologist/MLS/BB from an accredited agency or CLIA equivalent for high complexity testing required.Three years of laboratory testing experience required. One year of Reference Lab/IRL experience preferred. Two years of experience in a lead or charge capacity required.
