\nPreferred Experience MLS ASCP or equivalent with 3 plus years of experience MLS Generalist will be covering hematology and must be able to cross into Chemistry department
\nThe Med Lab Scientist 2 performs and monitors a full range of laboratory testing and research. Assumes responsibility for problem resolution, quality control, and required equipment maintenance with minimal supervision.
\nESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE ROLE
\n\nPerforms laboratory tests in compliance with department procedures and all pertinent regulatory requirements.\nFollows quality control, quality assurance, safety, and infection control procedures.\nPerforms instrument maintenance, calibration, and troubleshooting.\nAccurately reports test results.\nMaintains appropriate inventory of supplies.\nMaintains effective communication and working relationships with all laboratory personnel, other disciplines, and external customers.\nParticipates in laboratory projects and educational activities.\nDemonstrates and educates laboratory methods and technical skills to others.\n\nKEY SUCCESS FACTORS
