Part-Time/Night Shift

The Medical Technologist/Clinical Laboratory Scientist Journeyman is responsible for the accurate and timely reporting of high complexity laboratory test results with minimal supervision. MT/CLS JRN personnel are capable of performing pre-analytical, analytical and post-analytical duties including specimen evaluation, data analysis, and instrument maintenance and problem resolution. They often work with acute-care and outpatient caregivers, along with other Laboratory Services staff in performing their duties.

Required Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree Medical Laboratory Science from a NAACLS accredited MLS program.      Bachelor's Degree Chemical, Physical, Biological, or Clinical Laboratory Sciences. Or Upon hire: National Medical Laboratory Scientist - American Society for Clinical Pathology Or Upon hire: National Clinical Laboratory Scientist - American Society for Clinical Pathology Or Upon hire: National Medical Technologist - American Society for Clinical Pathology Or Upon hire: National Medical Technologist - American Medical Technologists Or Upon hire: Medical Laboratory Scientist - American Medical Technologist 1 year Experience as a Medical Laboratory Scientist in a department in the laboratory or exceeds principal duties and functions in the MLS I job description.

Preferred Qualifications:

3 years Clinical laboratory experience in a moderate and high complexity laboratory.
