Job Title: Medical Laboratory Scientist Job Description We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Medical Laboratory Scientist to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for performing routine and complex technical procedures in a clinical laboratory setting. You will ensure the accurate and timely delivery of test results to support quality patient care. Responsibilities + Determine the acceptability of specimens for testing according to established criteria. + Perform routine and complex technical procedures and functions according to departmental Standard Operating Procedures. + Monitor, operate, and troubleshoot instrumentation to ensure proper functionality. + Make technical decisions regarding testing and problem-solving. + Prepare, test, and evaluate new reagents or controls. + Report accurate and timely test results to deliver quality patient care. + Perform and document preventive maintenance and quality control procedures. + Identify and replenish testing bench supplies as necessary. + Assist with the processing of specimens when needed. + Maintain a safe work environment and wear appropriate personal protective equipment. Essential Skills + Bachelor's degree in Biology, Chemistry, Clinical Laboratory Science, Medical Technology, or related field. + 0-2 years of clinical laboratory testing experience. + State Medical Technologist license (if required). + ASCP or AMT certification (if required). + Ability to work independently and within a team environment. + Proficiency with computers. + High level of attention to detail. + Strong communication and organizational skills. + Ability to pass a standardized color vision screen. Additional Skills & Qualifications + Familiarity with laboratory information systems is a plus. Work Environment The working hours are Monday to Friday, 3:00 pm to 11:30 pm, with rotating weekends every other week. You will not work two days on the weeks that you are scheduled to work the weekend day. Flexibility to work overtime or other shifts depending on business needs is required. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $35.00 - $35.00 Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
