What You'll Do:

The Referral Laboratory department handles all specimens that must be sent to another institution for testing. This includes completing any referral laboratory-specific test request forms, processing of the sample according to the instructions of the testing facility, packaging for transport, and uploading of results to the patient lab results. Additionally, this area ensures that the referral laboratory being used is credentialed by CLIA, CMS, and/or CAP as a measure of the quality of testing performed. You will analyze information, monitor quality performance, and take action to ensure the efficient delivery of accurate and timely laboratory test results and services. This position will also be responsible for the development and implementation of laboratory procedures, as well as the maintenance of quality control in the laboratory understanding the requirements and standards of regulating agencies to ensure compliance within the laboratory.

What's Available:

Part-time, 48 hours biweekly (0.6 FTE); will orientate fulltime

8hr days with every third Saturday rotation

Starting pay of $22.01 and up, based on your years of experience, as well as applicable weekend differentials

What You'll Need:

Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Medical Laboratory Technology, Medical Laboratory Science, or Clinical Laboratory Science

ASCP Medical Technologist (MT) or Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) Certification is preferred but not required

Proficiency in laboratory techniques and procedures, processing, and quality assurance

Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot technical issues

Strong attention to detail and ability to work with precision
