Medical Laboratory Technician
Job Title: Medical Laboratory Technician (Float MLT)Job Description As a Medical Laboratory Technician, you will be responsible for collecting and processing specimens, performing testing analysis, and documenting and communicating lab results. Your responsibilities will include performing urinalysis (including microscopies), kit testing, drug analysis, coagulation, blood draws for all ages, i-STAT testing, utilizing hematology analyzers, and processing & send out tasks. You will be using the Epic Beaker electronic medical record system. This position is a float role, requiring you to cover various clinics as needed. Shifts generally vary between 7:00AM - 5:30PM, Monday-Friday, with shift start and end times varying slightly depending on location. You will receive a call at 6am for assignments starting as early as 7am. If location changes mid-day, mileage is compensated. Work Site This is a fully on-site position in Saint Paul, Minnesota. Work Environment Ambulatory clinics with outpatient labs. The position involves floating to multiple locations, with mileage reimbursement when moved within a shift or if the location is 25 miles from your home clinic.
