Responsibilities
We are seeking a Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT), also referred to as a Clinical Laboratory Technician (CLT) at Saint John Hospital a member of Prime Healthcare. The Medical Lab Tech processes specimens, performs routine and specialized tests, and ensures the accuracy of results. They maintain laboratory equipment, adhere to safety protocols, and collaborate with healthcare professionals to support patient diagnosis and treatment. Additionally, MLTs handle record-keeping and troubleshooting within the lab.
Bonus Options: up to $10,000 (Paid out as stipends every 90 days)

Essential Duties and Responsibilities (includes, but not limited to):
collect, process, and prepare specimens such as blood, urine, and other bodily fluids for analysisperform routine and specialized tests to analyze specimens and provide data on patient health, which may include tests in hematology, chemistry, and other areasinterpret lab test results and ensure accuracy, you may also enter data into laboratory information systems and prepare reports for healthcare providersfollow quality control procedures to ensure the accuracy and reliability of laboratory test results, this may involve calibrating and maintaining laboratory equipment and performing routine maintenance tasksadhere to hospital policies, safety regulations, and accreditation standards, which could include maintaining a clean and organized work environment and using personal protective equipment (PPE) as requiredoccasionally interact with patients, particularly when collecting specimens, and explain procedures to ensure patient comfort and cooperation QualificationsEDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, TRAINING
current and valid state license if the laboratory is located in a state where required ASCP certification, or equivalent, required associates degree in chemical, physical, biological science, or completion of coursework in a program for MLT3 years of hospital laboratory work experience preferred#LI-JJ3
