The primary responsibility of the Medical Technologist, or Technician is: * Incorporates appropriate assessment and intervention and/or technical skills in all interactions and/or delivery of patient care. * Organizes multitask workload; prioritizes tasks/work; seeks assistance; collects/integrates data from multiple sources; organizes job tasks or delivers care for multiple tasks or patients, per scope of position. Maintains awareness and contributes to department specific quality initiatives * Acknowledges limits of experience and capability; identifies learning needs and seeks resources; utilizes equipment and supplies appropriately; maintains clean, orderly environment of work; ensures traffic control in “sensitive areas”; seeks out and accepts feedback; requests assistance appropriately * Perform a variety of specialized lab tests in all areas of the clinical laboratory: blood bank, chemistry, hematology, microbiology, serology/immunology including demonstrable knowledge of expected lab values IdealCandidate would have the following qualifications: * Medical technologist (MT) - Bachelor of Science Degree in Medical Laboratory Sciences * Medical Technician (MLT) – Associates of Science Degree in Medical Laboratory Sciences * Eligible for Certification as MT or MLT (must obtain within 6 months of hire) * Phlebotomy experience * Basic computer knowledge: Microsoft office * Must be able to pass color deficiency test * Start your application now; we can’t wait to talk to you.
