Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated Medical Laboratory Scientist to join our team. The role involves receiving specimens, assessing specimen integrity, verifying labeling and documentation, complex specimen processing, reagent preparation, test performance, and reporting test results within the assigned area. You will perform all required quality control tasks to ensure the validity of test results, and maintain documentation regarding quality control, calibrations, maintenance, and handling of proficiency testing samples. Additionally, you will perform troubleshooting procedures, take corrective actions to ensure the validity of test results, and maintain documentation.
ResponsibilitiesReceive specimens and assess specimen integrity.Verify labeling and documentation.Perform complex specimen processing and reagent preparation.Conduct test performance and report test results.Complete all required quality control tasks to ensure validity of test results.Maintain documentation regarding quality control, calibrations, maintenance, and handling of proficiency testing samples.Perform troubleshooting procedures and take corrective actions to ensure validity of test results.Maintain necessary documentation throughout all procedures.Essential Skills Proficiency in Biology, Microbiology, Molecular Biology, and Cellular Therapy.2-3 years of experience as a Medical Laboratory Scientist (MLS), Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT), or Clinical Laboratory Scientist (CLS)Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.MT, MLS, CLS certification. Pay Scale
Pay is based off level of experience ranging from $25.00/hr - $38.00/hr
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $20.06 - $20.06/hr.
