Job Description​


Saint Luke's Neurological & Spine Surgery is a comprehensive neurosurgery practice that uses advanced surgical techniques to treat some of the most complex neurosurgical problems. Our neurosurgeons have a variety of subspecialties ranging from the treatment of skull based tumors, to minimally invasive spine surgery, to the treatment of trigeminal neuralgia, and everything in between. Our providers for Saint Luke's Spine Center focus on physical medicine and rehabilitation. Our specialists are trained in the diagnosis and treatment of neurologic and musculoskeletal disorders. We create customized treatment plans with the goal of helping patients improve their function, recover from injury, and prevent re-injury. 
 

We are hiring a FT Medical Office Specialist in our Neurosurgery Clinic at the Plaza. Performs a variety of functions in the medical office involving general duties including but not limited to answering the telephone communicating messages through email or Epic, verifying insurance and other patient data is accurate scanning and or uploading patient information to patients electronic chart, processing prior authorization request, determining medical necessity, preparing and completing prior authorization request forms, and scheduling peer to peer discussions. Able to provide backup for other positions and functions in the medical office including medical records scheduling insurance verification patient referrals etc. and the ability to float between multiple locations as assigned. Will work to ensure patient confidentiality in all instances while maintaining a pleasant and professional appearance and conduct.
