UVA Health is seeking a full-time Board-Certified/Board Eligible Hematology Oncology Physician to join their growing team! Successful candidate will be a key player in delivering comprehensive cancer care to patients in our community and supporting the expansion of oncology services at UVA Health. Responsibilities:
Patient care includes providing consults, ongoing treatment management, and follow-up Reviewing diagnostic tests and imaging results Manage infusion services and monitor patients during treatment Participation in tumor boards, research and Quality Improvement initiatives Work closely with multidisciplinary team to ensure a seamless patient experience from initial diagnosis through survivorship or Palliative Care Occasional inpatient roundingPractice Setting:
Our group is made up of three MD's, support from APP's, clinic nurses, patient navigators along with other support staff including Social Workers, Nutritionists, Palliative Care and Hospice providers. The majority of time will be spent at our Gainesville Cancer Care facility, with occasional services at affiliated hospitals. The patient population is diverse, reflecting a mix of urban and suburban demographics, with a growing demand for oncology services.
