The Oncology Division in the Department of Internal Medicine ( DOIM ) in the Spencer Fox Eccles School of Medicine, at the University of Utah and Huntsman Cancer Institute ( HCI ) are recruiting an outstanding clinician specializing in gynecologic malignancies (cancers of the ovary, uterus, cervix, and vagina). Applicants are encouraged by Assistant, Associate or Full Professors in the clinical or tenure track to provide clinical care and lead clinical or translational research in our main campus, community, and affiliate hospital locations.
The candidate will join a highly collaborative team of physicians in the**Gynecologic Cancer clinic at the Huntsman Cancer Institute ( HCI )**. HCI Gynecologic Cancers Program provides comprehensive, compassionate, state-of-the-art care for cancers of the female reproductive system. Our experts treat and diagnose all types of gynecologic cancers and conditions.
This position is part of HCI’s strategic priority to provide fully integrated, high value cancer care across the Intermountain West. As part of a growing translational research initiative, the successful candidate will have an opportunity to participate in multidisciplinary teams to develop clinical research programs. Institute members do research to improve understanding and management of these gynecologic cancers, with the broad goals of improving cancer prevention, diagnosis, treatment and survival, expanding genetic testing for those predisposed to cancer, identifying cancers that are likely to spread, overcoming barriers to screening, and expanding community outreach activities and remaining dedicated to involving the community and listening to our patients.
**Minimum Qualifications** : Must be board certified or eligible to be board certified in oncology and eligible for a Utah medical license. The successful candidate will preferably have established or show promise of establishing a clinical and/or translational research career in high-risk cancer research or cancer genetics.
**Preferred Qualifications** : National or international research reputation, clinical leadership, and progressive administrative experience.

HCI has an outstanding history of academic achievement and impact, with $241K in cancer research and 325 open clinical trials in Fiscal Year 2024. HCI has a collaborative environment, and a commitment to excellence in patient care, research, teaching, training, community engagement, and service.
The Division of Oncology is one of twelve divisions within the Department of Internal Medicine ( DOIM ). The faculty and advanced practice clinicians cover the entire spectrum of oncology and are dedicated to high quality, value-driven patient care, education, and innovation and discovery through basic, clinical, population, and health services research. The Division Oncology is aligned with the Huntsman Cancer Institute ( HCI ), an NCI -designated Comprehensive Cancer Center serving a large geographic area. The DOIM and HCI are undergoing major expansions of their clinical and research operations and are committed to supporting the growth of the Oncology Division through recruitment of new clinical, translational, and laboratory-based faculty.
