Risk Management is looking for an entry level Injury Counselor to be responsible for the investigation, handling and oversight of incidents resulting in Team Member injuries. Under the direction of the Workers’ Compensation Program Manager, the successful candidate will investigate claims and coordinate all related activity with U-Haul Marketing Company management, and the Third Party Administrator, to bring each assigned claim to its best possible resolution.
Additionally, the successful candidate will assist with administrative tasks and special projects within the department as assigned.
Essential Duties:
Assist injured Team members to ensure they receive appropriate medical care following on-the-job injuriesPromptly and thoroughly investigate newly reported work related injuries to determine compensabilityThoroughly document essential information on each reported incident in U-Haul claims management systemCoordinate with local U-Haul management to facilitate Return to Work when feasible and appropriateManage all key components of each assigned claim to ensure optimum handling and best possible resolutionAssist in administrative tasks as assignedRequirements:
