Description We are in search of a Medical Payment Poster Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will assist Patient Financial Services by managing patient accounts with credits and resolving overpayments. Your attention to detail and ability to identify root causes will drive daily analysis and process improvement recommendations. Job Responsibilities: + Review and research patient account credits and overpayments. + Investigate and resolve account discrepancies in a timely manner. + Analyze daily trends to evaluate issues, challenges, and root causes. + Provide detailed insights and recommendations for resolution. + Collaborate with internal and external teams to process refund requests effectively. + Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and financial regulations. + Maintain accurate documentation of account activities and resolutions. Requirements • Proven experience as a Medical Payment Poster Specialist or in a similar role in the healthcare industry • Comprehensive knowledge of appeals and collection processes in medical billing • Demonstrated ability to accurately post medical payments • Proficiency in using medical billing software and related technologies • Strong understanding of insurance processes, including Medicare and Medicaid • Ability to handle confidential patient information with discretion and in compliance with healthcare regulations • Excellent attention to detail and ability to spot errors or discrepancies in billing data • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously • Good communication skills, both written and verbal • Ability to work independently and as part of a team • Commitment to maintaining up-to-date knowledge on changes in healthcare billing practices and regulations.
