This is a new position being added to our 5 member physics team. We are looking for a self-starter who can demonstrate the ability to work within our robust and team-oriented department. Primary tasks include patient treatment plan checks; weekly physics chart checks, daily, monthly, and annual machine quality assurance, SRS and SBRT presence/consulting, as well as serving as a resource to the dosimetrists and physicians for special physics consultations. Additional responsibilities include MLC-based linac SRS planning and the involvement in acceptance testing and commissioning of new treatment machines, software, or other hardware.

Master's Degree or higher in Medical Physics or Applied Physics and a completed medical physics residency program New graduates of a medical physics program with clinical experience during studies will also meet experience requirements. American Board of Radiology Certification in Radiation Oncology Physics for 5 years preferred. Will also consider American Board of Radiology eligible to be attained within first 5 years of employment. 1 years post graduate experience in a program of similar size with computerized treatment planning and comparable computerized simulator/accelerator preferred. 5 years post residency experience in a Varian/ARIA program of similar size with computerized treatment planning and comparable computerized simulator/accelerator experience preferred. ABR certified in radiation therapy physics. Strong MLC-based linac SRS planning experience preferred.About Us:

We currently have two radiation oncologists in St. Cloud and one in each of Monticello, Alexandria, Willmar, and Wadena. Currently, we have a team of six dosimetrists, who are 100% remote, a chief physicist, and four physicists.
We employ six beam-matched Varian TrueBeam linear accelerators, two at our main center in St. Cloud and one at each satellite center. Treatment procedures include 3D, IMRT, VMAT, SBRT, and MLC-based linac SRS in St. Cloud. All utilize IGRT and SGRT. Three sites have large bore Philips CT Simulators with OMAR, and a PET/CT. Wadena has a Siemens PET/CT unit.
The treatment planning system is Eclipse with ARIA EMR. We also employ Velocity for DICOM registrations and backup. All sites manage daily operations with ARIA and EPIC. Our list of physics QA hardware and software is, but not limited to, SNC Profiler ICs, PTW Octavius 729s, PTW 3D and 1D water tanks, PTW electrometers, Varian Portal Dosimetry Package, Varian MPC, Radformation’s ClearCheck, ClearCalc, EZfluence, and Auto Contouring packages, Sun Nuclear StereoPhan phantom with SRS MapCheck.
