**Per Diem Medical Physicist - on-site required**
**_Position Purpose_**
Physicist Radiation Oncology - oversee safety, assist Radiation Oncologists and Radiation Therapists with the planning of treatments, and are also responsible for ensuring that the equipment is correctly set up and calibrated when it is first installed. They also create, implement, and monitor advanced cancer radiation treatment technologies.
**_What you will do:_**
+ Is knowledgeable of and ensures that supervised Associates are knowledgeable of applicablecurrent compliance policies and procedures, laws and regulatory developments includingtheir responsibility to comply with applicable laws, regulations and Holy Cross Hospitalpolicies as a condition of employment, as well as reporting mechanisms such as thecorporate compliance hotline.
+ Ensures that Associates complete compliance orientation and ensures and arranges forongoing specific risk training (applicable to the department) on a regular basisthroughout the year.
+ Provides appropriate assistance regarding monitoring techniques to reasonably assurecompliance in supervised functional areas, including the submission of reports of suspectnon-compliance to the Compliance Officer so that further evaluation can be performed.
**_Minimum Qualifications:_**
Licensure
* Current Therapeutic Radiological Physicist from the State of Florida license
* American Association of Physicist in Medicine (AAPM) Certification required
* Master’s degree in physics (M.S.)
* Ability to operate complex computerized equipment
* Previous management experience in a hospital radiation oncology department
* Ability to effectively prioritize work and work under stressful conditions
