Description Robert Half is seeking a Medical Receptionist to join a dynamic healthcare team in Portland. Key Responsibilities: + Serve as the first point of contact for patients and visitors, delivering outstanding customer service and a welcoming atmosphere. + Manage appointment scheduling, ensuring efficient use of time slots and minimizing patient wait times. + Handle patient check-ins and check-outs, verifying insurance information and processing payments accurately. + Maintain accurate patient records, including updating personal information and medical history in electronic health records. + Answer incoming calls, addressing inquiries and directing calls to appropriate medical staff or departments. + Assist with administrative tasks such as filing, faxing, and retrieving medical documents as needed. + Support the healthcare team by coordinating communication between patients and medical providers. + Ensure the reception area and waiting rooms are clean, organized, and ready for patients. Requirements + Previous experience in a medical administrative role is highly preferred, although transferrable customer service and/or administrative experience will be considered. + Strong organizational skills and attention to detail in managing patient information and scheduling. + Proficient in using electronic health record systems and standard office software, or proven ability to pick up new software quickly. + Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a focus on providing compassionate patient care. + Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion. + Bilingual skills are a plus but not required.
