Description Will be working the main specialty clinic check in desk that covers all of their specialties. Candidate will be up FRONT checking in patients, verifying insurance, demographics updates, scanning IDs, taking copayments. Hours: 8-5 M-F shift Main Tasks outside of patient check in: Messages to my chart and provider Teeing up refill request Prior authorization requests Entering paper fax into EPIC It’s busy- fast pace; 2 15 minutes break and 1hr lunch Tech savvy- go getters; multitask Phone call, teams message, fax and then a patient walking up to you Teaching a person how to prioritize to get things done Personal accountaibility to get things done Mulitiask, reliable, adhere to schedule; does take personal time request and will work through it- if they need time off; send email with request 2 people off per day and calendar; expects them to do that Take accountability Work closely care team and clinicians Nurse, ma, all work is intertwined so needs people who work a team and just because you touch it once doesn’t mean that another teammate will touch it Don’t treat t like a temp assignment; will recommend FTE Current temps are gone all the time and always on cell phone If they are doing well, will go direct Previous experience customer service don’t need to know medical anything if they are good with people and passionate and understanding Critical thinking Willing to put in time ad work but interpersonal qualities and mold and shape those soft skills -people who have worked in service industry have done really well Training epic training of 2 days 1:1 training for 2 wees on the floor and that’s been a lot more successful After 2 weeks to skills test Meet with new people weekly; is your trainer meeting your expectations Experience Level Entry Level #centralpriorority25 Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $21.09 - $21.09/hr.
