Schedule: Full-time (40 hours/week) - No weekends or holidays!
The primary responsibility surrounds scheduling for the office, but will include other Office Assistant responsibilities where needed.Responsibilities include, but not limited to:
Welcomes patients and visitors by greeting patients and visitors, in person or on the telephone; answering or referring inquiries.
Schedules appointments
Check patient eligibility
Answers multi line telephones and retrieves accurate messages
Process referrals
Comforts patients by anticipating patients' anxieties; answering patients' questions; maintaining the reception area.
Maintains patient accounts by obtaining, recording, and updating personal and financial information.
Obtains revenue by recording and updating financial information; recording and collects payments according to insurance requirements
Maintains business office inventory and equipment by checking stock to determine inventory level; anticipating needed supplies; placing and expediting orders for supplies; verifying receipt of supplies; scheduling equipment service and repairs.
Protects patients' rights by maintaining confidentiality of personal and financial information.
Minimum Qualifications:
High School diploma or equivalent required
1+ years of experience working as an administrative assistant or in a relevant role
Excellent communication skills
Must be bilingual English- Spanish
Friendly and compassionate disposition
Excellent organizational and time management skills
Strong interpersonal communication skills
Ability to work independently or as part of a team
Dedication to maintaining confidentiality of all patient records
