Medical Records and Supply Coordinator

Join us!Part of a nation wide family of Continuing Care Retirement Communities is seeking a Medical Supplies and Records Coordinator to provide campus services in medical supplies and medical records in order to meet the needs of residents and employees and help to assure that these items are in compliance and orderly.

In this role, the Medical Supplies and Records Coordinator will:

Perform Medical Records functions:

Prepare health record and room for new admissions according to policies and procedures.Maintain a permanent register of resident admissions and discharges.Maintain quality assurance standards by performing regular audits and scanning.Assemble contents of closed records until full electronic record is obtained.Maintain periodic statistical reports.Copy and release information from health record according to policy and procedure.Maintain confidentiality regarding resident issues.Assure compliance with organization policies, state and federal regulations relating to health record function.

Perform Medical Supplies functions:

Maintain medical office supply inventory and orders supplies as needed.Ensure all areas requiring medical supplies, medical equipment is stocked according to required levels and needs.Receive campus supplies, deliveries and stock.Review entries before summiting Administrator for any discrepancies.Maintaining the supplies, equipment, and all materials for the daily operations. Prepare purchase orders weekly, and submit order to assigned vendors. Serves as a member of the QAPI Committee.Distribute supplies weekly, or as needed.

The ideal candidate will have:

Associate's Degree requiredBachelor's Degree preferredMedical records certificate preferredAt least one year's experience in long term careUnderstanding of medical supplies and uses.Basic computer skills including using Microsoft office system, excel and other computer software and utilizes effectively.Ability to communicate effectively in English, verbal and written, with residents and staff.Dependability and common sense, and the ability to organize medical supplies and medical records to finish each day’s assignment.Ability to follow written and verbal instructions and work within standard policy and procedures, with limited direct supervision.Basic understanding of infection control measures.An interest in and desire to work with older adults is desired.
