Medical Records Clerk
Description We are offering a contract to hire employment opportunity for a Medical Records Clerk in Fairlawn, Ohio. This role is primarily focused on managing and maintaining medical records within various healthcare systems. The position is based on-site, in an office environment, and will require strong tech skills including proficiency in MS Office, data entry and typing. Responsibilities: • Navigate various software systems to process and maintain patient medical records accurately • Interact professionally with patients and doctors to request necessary information • Ensure the confidentiality and security of all medical records • Handle inbound and outbound calls relating to medical records • Use Microsoft Office Suites and other administrative tools to organize and manage records • Clear candidates through the client, involving secure handling of sensitive information • Participate in training to improve skills in interacting and requesting information from patients and doctors • Conduct data entry tasks to update and maintain records • Utilize EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems to access and update patient records • Perform typing tasks as part of administrative duties Please note that a nicotine test is required for this role. Requirements • Proficiency in EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems is essential • Prior experience with medical records management is required • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suites including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint • Strong data entry skills with attention to detail and accuracy • Experience in handling inbound and outbound calls professionally • Administrative office experience, including organizing, filing, and multitasking • Typing skills with speed and accuracy are crucial • Ability to maintain confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA guidelines • Strong interpersonal and communication skills for interacting with patients and healthcare professionals • Ability to work independently and as part of a team • High school diploma or equivalent is required, further education in Health Information Management is a plus Robert Half is the world’s first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
