Identify any discrepancies and address recognized errors. Seek resolution to other issues as they arise. + Assist clinical / non-clinical areas, satellite locations and patients regarding various issues. Research / problem solve by effectively demonstrating in-depth knowledge of numerous software applications. + Perform a wide variety of departmental tasks, special projects and all other assigned duties + Accurately locate, retrieve, send and re-file paper medical records using record tracking system and color-coded / terminal digit system. Implement features of retention / destruction of patient information per Clinic guidelines **Knowledge and Skills:** _Experience:_ From one year to three years of similar or related experience. _Education:_ Equivalent to a high school education. _Interpersonal Skills:_ Normal courtesy, tact and diplomacy are essential elements of the job. Work involves frequent personal contact with others inside and/or outside the organization regarding routine matters for purposes of giving and obtaining information which may require some discussion. _Other Skills:_ Electronic Medical Records (EMR) and previous document scanning experience preferred. Strong computer proficiency and analytical skills are required. General working knowledge of Microsoft Office, medical terminology and office experience preferred. **Physical Aspects:** Reaching - Extending hand(s) and arm(s) in any direction. Lifting - Raising objects from a lower to a higher position or moving objects horizontally from position-to-position. This factor is important if it occurs to a considerable degree and requires the substantial use of the upper extremities and back muscles. Fingering - Picking, pinching, typing or otherwise working, primarily with fingers rather than with the whole hand or arm as in handling. Grasping - Applying pressure to an object with the fingers and palm. Talking - Expressing or exchanging ideas by means of the spoken word. Those activities in which they must convey detailed or important spoken instructions to other workers accurately, loudly or quickly. Hearing - Perceiving the nature of sound with or without correction. Ability to receive detailed information through oral communication and to make fine discriminations in sound, such as when making fine adjustments on machined parts. Vision - 20 / 40 or better in the best eye with or without correction. Repetitive Motions - Substantial movements (motions) of the wrists, hands and/or fingers. Light Work - Exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 10 pounds of force frequently, and/or a negligible amount of force constantly to move objects. If the use of arm and/or leg controls requires exertion of forces greater than that for Sedentary Work and the worker sits most of the time, the job is rated for Light Work. Environmental Conditions: None - The worker is not substantially exposed to adverse environmental conditions (such as in typical office or administrative work).
