Description We are in search of a Medical Records Clerk to join our team in the healthcare industry, located in Tacoma, WA. In this role, you will be tasked with managing confidential patient records, reviewing medical records, and responding to patient inquiries. This role will be performed on-site. Responsibilities: • Manage and maintain confidential patient records with high precision • Handle incoming faxes and sort them into appropriate folders or import into the medical record system • Review medical records and scan lab, x-ray, and test reports into medical records post provider review • Assist patients with their queries and guide them in filling out the Record of Information (ROI) form • Adhere to HIPAA guidelines while copying and releasing records • Fax prescriptions and record requests, ensuring most tasks are computer-based • Scan documents into charts, ensuring accuracy and efficiency • Work on files for multiple clinics, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability.
