Job Summary: We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Medical Records Scanning Specialist to join our Health Information Management (HIM) team. The successful candidate will be responsible for accurately scanning, indexing, and managing patient medical records using advanced scanning systems and electronic health record (EHR) software.
Key Responsibilities:
+ Scan and index patient medical records into the electronic health record (EHR) system.
+ Ensure the accuracy and completeness of scanned documents.
+ Maintain confidentiality and security of patient information in accordance with HIPAA regulations.
+ Collaborate with healthcare providers and administrative staff to ensure timely and accurate record-keeping.
+ Troubleshoot and resolve scanning and indexing issues.
+ Perform quality control checks on scanned documents.
+ Assist with other HIM tasks as needed.
Preferred Qualifications:
+ Experience with OnBase scanning system.
+ Proficiency in EPIC EHR system.
+ Previous experience in a healthcare or medical records environment.
+ Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
+ Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
+ Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
+ Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and medical terminology.
Education and Experience:
+ High school diploma or equivalent required.
+ Minimum of 2 years of experience in medical records scanning or a related field.
Details:
+ Pay: $18 - $21/hr. based on related experience.
+ Pay cycle – weekly | medical, dental & vision benefits offered.
+ Schedule: Monday – Friday | 8-hour shift within the hours of operation (8:00am – 5:00pm)
+ Onsite position Monday – Friday.
+ Applicants must be vaccinated for CV-19 to qualify for this position.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $21.00/hr.
