Description We are seeking a dedicated Medical Scheduler to join our team located in San Luis Obispo, California. In this role, you will be a crucial part of our healthcare services, ensuring that patients' appointments are scheduled correctly and their medical records are accurately maintained. You will also be responsible for verifying patient information and ensuring the smooth running of office supplies and equipment. This role offers a contract to permanent employment opportunity. Responsibilities: • Schedule patient appointments efficiently and accurately • Verify and update patient information in the database • Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records • Communicate effectively with patients regarding their appointments and other related matters • Coordinate the maintenance and conservation of office equipment and supplies • Utilize Word and other relevant software for data entry tasks • Ensure high accuracy in data entry by aiming for at least 60 words per minute • Regularly monitor customer database systems for updates and changes. Requirements • Proficiency in data entry is required. • Demonstrated ability to use word processing software effectively. • Prior experience in a medical scheduling or related role is desirable. • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. • Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively. • High attention to detail and accuracy. • Strong customer service skills. • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team. • Knowledge of medical terminology is beneficial. • Able to handle sensitive information confidentially. • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-stress environment. • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to make decisions under pressure.
