Description We are offering a contract to hire employment opportunity for a Medical Scheduler at our location in San Luis Obispo, California. The role involves interacting with patients, managing appointments, verifying patient details, and updating medical files. The individual will also be responsible for coordinating the maintenance of office supplies and equipment. Responsibilities: • Interact with patients and manage their appointment schedules effectively • Verify and update patients' information accurately in the medical records • Coordinate the maintenance and conservation of office supplies and equipment • Utilize your strong computer skills to manage our customer database systems • Maintain a high level of accuracy in data entry, ensuring at least 60 words per minute • Utilize Word for various administrative tasks • Process any required updates in customer accounts and take necessary actions. Requirements • Proven experience as a Medical Scheduler or similar role in a healthcare setting. • Proficiency in Data Entry Alphanumeric is essential. • Demonstrated ability to use word processing software effectively. • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a patient-centric approach. • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion and professionalism. • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple schedules simultaneously. • High school diploma or equivalent, higher education in a relevant field is a plus. • Solid understanding of medical terminology and procedures. • Ability to work under pressure and maintain calm in a fast-paced environment. • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to resolve scheduling conflicts efficiently. • Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays as required. • Detail-oriented with a high degree of accuracy.
