Your Role:

Roles responsible for ensuring company compliance with pharmaceutical regulations and laws as well as providing expertise on drug safety and medical topics. Provides medical expert advice to ensure proper development and promotion of new products. Develops medical product information and stays informed on scientific trends and competition. Maintains relationships with target opinion leaders and trains local teams in medical topics.

 

Impacts a range of important customer, operational, project or service activities within own team and other related teams or even the area. Guides and influences peers, middle management regarding technical issues and challenges. Affects the results within own discipline with own contributions and contributes to the technical direction or even the strategic direction and operational decision making in the field of specialization.

Works effectively in a cross-functional environment and uses best practices and knowledge and interpretation of internal and external business issues to improve products or services and to define processes and standards. Solves complex problems based on advanced to sophisticated analytical skills and complex judgement.

Accountable for the quality of on-going activities/processes. Receives minimal guidance or works independently. Acts as an advisor and mentor within the team and beyond and may serve as best practice resource within own discipline or as technical expert on cross-functional teams or projects.

Typically reports to a Manager role, Project Manager role for a  defined period of time based on organizational set-up (there is not necessarily a difference in role level between a manager and its direct reports - same level or lower level reporting is possible, provided job scope and responsibilities are clearly distinct); typically no direct reports.

 

Scope of People Responsibilities:

 

Act as US Medical Affairs TA expert in N&I through in-field activitiesSupport the Brand or launch teams and NAMA TA leadership team in the development of TA, Launch and Brand strategies, as appropriate and compliant  Lead Medical Affairs activities in assigned territory along defined local Medical Launch / Brand strategies, as appropriate and compliant  Consolidate and communicate trends, market insights, and unmet needs identified in the fieldDevelops and implements territory Medical plans with HCPs and KOLs in assigned region, including development of significant, long-term relationships, to ensure the safe and appropriate use of company products by patientsImpact external perceptions and knowledge regarding company, TA, disease state awareness and products (as appropriate and compliant) by serving as advanced technical, scientific, and medical expert with comprehensive and in-depth scientific TA knowledgeDevelop Medical material for use in field, as requested from time to timeDeliver Medical educational presentations, programs and Journal Clubs to HCPs and KOLsSupport Medical activities at congresses, scientific meetings and patient advocacy related activities, as requested from time to time Support company-sponsored and investigator-sponsored studies (ISS), as requested from time to timeFor company-sponsored studies, contribute to site selection process, assist with site initiation, support conduct of studies, as appropriate and compliant For ISSs, act as a resource, liaison and facilitator for ISS and investigators, as appropriate and compliant Assimilate, process and share medical information with stakeholders Ensure operational excellence by sharing best practicesComply with relevant trainings and SOPsInteract with Local stakeholders in Medical community in TA, with given frequency and pre-defined metrics, as appropriate and compliant Interact with influential members of the Medical community (HCPs/external experts) and other healthcare stakeholders (managed care organizations, government organizations, patient groups) within assigned territory and TA, as appropriate and compliantRepresent company at Medical events, programs, meetings and congressesEngage with internal colleagues (Medical Affairs department, Clinical Operations, Commercial colleagues as appropriate, etc.) in developing and delivering and participating in Medical or cross-functional initiatives

 

Who You Are:

Minimum Qualifications:

Advanced scientific degree (e.g., MSc, PharmD, PhD, DO, MD) Scientific and / or clinical training in area of relevance to position strongly preferred Other advanced degree (non-scientific) and/or business degree/training is advantageous

Substantial professional, clinical or research experience in a scientific or related field required (minimum of 2 years)

 

Preferred Qualifications:

Previous MSL or related pharmaceutical experience preferred

 

Prior industry experience preferredProduct launch experience preferredKnowledge and experience of methodology of clinical research and Good Clinical Practice preferredExcellent written and oral communication skillsExcellent presentation skills Excellent organizational skillsExcellent relationship building and networking skillsExpert level of understanding and in-depth scientific/medical knowledge of N&I and company's N&I products and pipelineStrong analytical skillsKnowledge and experience in project managementStrong ability to evaluate publications on scientific content and communicate peer to peer on the scientific content with External StakeholdersGood conflict resolution/management skillsSolid understanding of pharmaceutical and promotional compliance guidelines and regulationsFluency in English (oral and Written)Up to 60% travel, including overnight travel, periodic national meetings and may include international conferences
