What you’ll do
As Medical Science Liaison in CVRM - you will provide actionable information that enhances the value and appropriate use of AstraZeneca's products to internal stakeholders; respond to customer inquiries to ensure focused and balanced clinical and scientific information that supports the appropriate use of AstraZeneca's products and services and develop appropriate clinical and scientific information that clinically differentiates AstraZeneca's products.
Based in NSW, this is a full time, permanent opportunity. Reporting to the MSL Manager, you will engage in scientific exchange with medical and scientific experts, including Healthcare Professionals and other external stakeholders (payers, regulators etc) consistent with Medical Affairs objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop peer-level relationships with medical and scientific experts, including Healthcare professionals and other key external stakeholders
Maintaining clinical/scientific expertise and being a subject matter expert for internal and external stakeholders
Scientific leadership and discussion with key medical and scientific experts delivering scientific information
Effectively identify, gather, analyse, synthesise and communicate relevant new knowledge about the external environment to internal stakeholders
Contribute to the development and provide project leadership/ management of the therapeutic area Medical Plan
Participate in brand strategy, clinical development, strategic planning and internal projects based on external stakeholder perspectives
Identify pre-clinical, clinical and post-marketing study investigators in alignment with Medical Plan
Adhere to internal standard processes and comply with regulatory and compliance requirements, including Medicines Australia Code of Conduct.
To be successful you will ideally have:
Experience in medical education, as an MSL, Academic or relevant industry role
Demonstrated successes in building strong external and internal relationships through strong communication, influencing and collaborative networking skills, along with self-driven motivation to strive and achieve
Strong scientific background, including an advanced degree in Science, Pharmacology, Pharmacy, Medicine, Nursing or equivalent
Demonstrated expertise in discussing scientific content and context to multiple audiences including external experts
Strong teamwork and collaboration skills and demonstrated project/team/cross-functional leadership
Excellent oral and written communication and interpersonal skills and ability to self-manage
Thorough knowledge of regulatory environment
