**Role Overview**
Reporting directly to the Director, Medical Affairs- The Medical Science Liaison (MSL) serves as a field-based scientific expert, engaging healthcare professionals, thought leaders, and key stakeholders to exchange clinical and research insights on Medexus products. This role builds and maintains relationships with KOLs, payors, and advocacy organizations, providing expert medical and scientific support. As a trusted advisor, the MSL gathers key market insights, contributes to medical strategy, and collaborates cross-functionally to support research, education, and market access. This position requires deep therapeutic expertise, strategic thinking, and strong communication skills to drive scientific engagement and support Medexus' business objectives.

**Key Responsibilities**
+ Function as the primary subject matter expert in the field for Medexus Medical Affair.
+ Identify, establish, and develop ongoing, peer-to-peer relationships with key national and regional medical thought leaders including academic centers of excellence, managed care organizations, hospitals, and community practice organizations to build advocacy and engage in scientific exchange with these individuals.
+ Develop and manage medical thought leadership and key centers of excellence engagement plans.
+ Facilitate the submission of investigator-initiated trials and collaborative research inquiries, including the provision of guidance on the publication and presentation of clinical data, in accordance with company policies.
+ Support the creation of Medical Affairs documents in alignment with corporate objectives to include, but not limited to, slide decks, standard response letters, and speaker and internal training materials.
+ Support medical education programs, including speaker programs, scientific symposia, and community meetings for relevant health care professionals.
+ Contribute scientific and medical support for the Market Access team, in alignment with corporate objectives.
+ Contribute scientific and clinical expertise to the development and execution of promotional and educational activities.
+ Attend and participate in key professional society meetings to represent Medexus and further develop the relationship with the organization. Represent Medexus at medical/scientific conferences, advisory boards, outreach and advocacy meetings, and other activities, as requested. This may include support of thought leader engagement, Medical Information booth activities, and congress/conference planning (including scheduling, review, assessment and drafting of conference reports on oral presentations, abstracts, posters, and key insights).
+ Communicate on a regular basis with management and the project team information on the emerging standards of care, changes in the therapeutic area, and needs of clinicians in the community.
+ Serve as a field medical resource and respond to medical inquiries in a timely and accurate manner in accordance with company policies, and applicable laws, regulations, and ethical standards.
+ Principal MSLs will be expected to take on additional leadership responsibilities, including mentoring, coaching, and providing strategic guidance to other MSLs. They will play a key role in fostering team development, sharing best practices, and supporting the overall success of the Medical Affairs team.

**Education, Experience & Skill Requirements**
+ Advanced degree in the scientific discipline required (MD, PhD, PharmD, MSN with direct clinical practice experience in oncology or a related field)
+ Required: MSL -Minimum of 3 years MSL experience, Sr. MSL-Minimum of 5 years MSL experience, Principal MSL -Minimum of 8 years MSL experience and 2 years coaching and/or mentoring experience
+ Experience in a small biotechnology or pharmaceutical environment is preferred.
+ Prior experience in BMT (Bone Marrow Transplant) preferred
+ Ability to work independently with very limited direction
+ Ability to create and deliver effective scientific presentations for internal and external customers.
+ Strategic with a strong business acumen
+ Superior written and oral communication skills.
+ Ability to prioritize and manage time efficiently.
+ Demonstrates effective team building and teamwork skills at all functional levels.
**Additional Information**
**Travel** : up to 50%

**Compensation Range:** $170,000 - $230,000
