Medical Staff Coordinator
Job Description

This is a Full Time, Day Shift, Medical Staff Coordinator position supporting Northwest Healthcare at Northwest Medical Center.

The Medical Staff Coordinator oversees and coordinates all medical staff activities and manages the credentialing and recredentialing of medical staff members for assigned facilities. This position coordinates administrative duties, including but not limited to data entry and maintenance of provider database, correspondence, ED Call Schedules. In addition, the Coordinator serves as department liaison to committees, medical staff departments and physicians, including facilitating and managing medical staff meetings.

Position Qualifications/Minimum Requirements

Education: Required: High school diploma/GED or equivalent years of experience

Experience: Required: 2 years experience in medical staff services environment

Skills: Ability to provide daily operational leadership to small teams. Appropriate prioritization while achieving safety and quality in a high volume environment; Engaging and effective communication and service skills; Adherence to policy and procedures; Process improvement oriented; Self-initiative to assist with whatever is needed.

Licenses/Certifications: Preferred: CPCS certification
