The Medical Staff Coordinator is responsible for the administrative support to Medical/Professional Staff functions and as a key resource for the medical staff leadership. The coordinator may be required to assist with elements of the credentialing process, initial and reappointment, expirables and proctoring as assigned.
Expectation includes the assistance of Committee Chairs/Chiefs with oversight of department/committee meeting management (provide support duties for designated hospital based committees, including but not limited to, agenda preparation and distribution, meeting documentation preparation, and transcription of minutes, requisite follow-up and within prescribed deadlines) as assigned. This is to ensure flow of information through established medical staff and ministry reporting and approval process. The Coordinator is expected to work in the development or enhancements of privilege delineation, including establishing criteria for said criteria with competencies. As needed, the coordinator will work with team and internal resources to support the key processes of Ongoing Practitioner Performance Evaluation (OPPE), and Focused Practitioner Performance Evaluation (FPPE). The Coordinator's scope does include the coordination, development and/or revision of departmental Rules & Regulations to ensure compliance with current practice, accreditation standards, State/Federal regulations as well as system wide regulatory requirements.Providence caregivers are not simply valued – they’re invaluable.
