Job Summary Manage all aspects of credentialing and re-credentialing application and primary source verification process for all clinicians (MD, DO, Advanced Practice Professionals) to meet standards and requirements of Tower Health, National Committee for Quality Assurance (NCQA), Joint Commission (TJC), Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS), federal and state, and other regulatory or accreditation bodies. Medical Staff Credentialing Coordinator will work closely with Medical Staff Specialist to manage intake process for all applicants during initial applications and reappointment process. The Medical Staff Coordinator will manage the database to ensure that it is updated in real time, data is current, accurate and valid. Full Time Position, hours are Monday -Friday 9am-5:30pm No weekends, No holidays required. Hybrid Schedule available after probationary period. #PHX Qualifications Education Requirements Completes and maintains all competencies and trainings as required for role. High School Diploma - OR - GED - OR - Relevant experience may be considered in lieu of education Experience Preferred Qualifications: Certified Provider Credentialing Specialist (CPCS) or Certified Professional Medical Services Management (CPMSM) is a plus. Experience with provider enrollment (Medicare, Medicaid, commercial payers) is a bonus. 2–3 years of experience in medical staff credentialing (MSO, CVO, or hospital setting). Familiarity with MSOW, Echo, Cactus, or other credentialing software. Experience verifying provider credentials, including education, training, licensure, DEA, and board certification. Knowledge of Joint Commission Technical & Administrative Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word) and credentialing databases. Experience preparing credentialing committee packets and MEC/Board reports. Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
