Medical Support Assistant Mount Kisco, NY Job Description Position Overview: The role of a Clinical Medical Assistant is to provide care and education to patients, following established standards and practices. The Medical Support Assistant updates patient charts in EMR systems and documents changes. The role requires coordination with other members of the care team to ensure seamless care delivery, maximal coordination of efforts, and active patient participation in planning and care. Responsibilities also include restocking rooms. Specialties open for this position include OBGYN, Pediatrics, Internal Medicine, Neurology, Surgery, and Dermatology. Responsibilities + Provide care and education to patients following established standards and practices. + Update patient charts in EMR systems. + Document changes in patient records. + Coordinate with other members of the care team to ensure seamless care delivery. + Ensure maximal coordination of efforts within the care team. + Encourage active patient participation in planning and care. + Restock rooms as needed. Essential Skills + Medical assisting + Customer service + Medical terminology + Knowledge of medical records management + Proficiency in electronic medical records (EMR) systems + Customer service and people skills + Experience with NextGen, Epic, and EMR systems + Patient access management Additional Skills & Qualifications + High school diploma or equivalent + At least one year of clinical experience in a medical office, clinic, or hospital setting + Graduate of an accredited medical assistant program + History of prior stable employment and favorable references Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $17.00 - $22.00/hr.
