Responsibilities

As a Medical Surgical Telemetry Nurse at SJHMC,  you'll have the opportunity to excel in your nursing career by caring for patients admitted to our unit. The majority of your patients come from other units, providing you with a unique opportunity to build on your education and experience in a variety of specialized service lines. These include cardiac, telemetry, orthopedics, neurology, critical care, surgical services, and emergency, offering a diverse and enriching experience. To be successful in this role, we are looking for registered nurses with experience in medical-surgical and telemetry nursing, as well as a patient-first mindset and a keen sense of urgency.


The Medical-Surgical-Telemetry unit at St. Joseph's Hospital is not just a place of work, but a supportive and collaborative environment. Primarily caring for post-surgical patients, the unit handles a diverse range of cases, from trauma surgery to organ transplants. Responsibilities:

Provides assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of care for patients from adolescent to geriatric.Handles patients with more complex situations with assistance and supervision.Assists with managing patient care administered by other members of the nursing staff.Assumes responsibilities of Primary Nurse and Team Leader.

Qualifications

Minimum:


Graduate of an accredited school of nursing. 
AZ RN license 
American Heart Association BLS certification

Preferred:


BSN
Professional certification in area of specialty
One year recent acute care experience
