MEDICAL TECHNOLOGIST MT/MLS/MLT

Central Maine Healthcare is seeking a Medical Technologist to join the Bridgton Hospital Pathology team!

This is a per diem position, a great opportunity for a Medical Technologist looking for a flexible schedule!

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:

performs routine and complex procedures in blood bank, chemistry, hematology, serology, microbiology, urinalysis, and phlebotomy.

obtains and receives specimens, performs clinical laboratory tests by standardized procedures, understands method principles, performs quality control, performs preventative maintenance, and interprets results as to accuracy, acceptability, and critical limits.

works independently, organizes work to meet established deadlines, records all data obtained, and maintains job competence.

Performs routine and specialized clinical laboratory procedures according to established standards and procedures, using proper technique and equipment in the performance of duties to assure biological and physical safety and accuracy.

The job also involves effective communication and interpersonal skills.


Minimum Requirements:

• Certification as a Medical Technologist MT/MLS/MLT/CLT by ASCP or equivalent, required within 6 months of hire.
• Excellent computer and inter-personal skills.
