Full time, 5:30pm - 7am, 3 days a week with weekend rotations.

Job Description

The Medical Technologist performs routine and/or complex Clinical Laboratory procedures within any or all the section of the Clinical Laboratory to include Blood Bank, Hematology, Coagulation, Chemistry, Microbiology and Urinalysis with special emphasis on assigned department.

Job Duties

Performs technical procedures in appropriate departmentsCollects specimens as neededProcesses specimens appropriatelyReports results accurately and timelyExcellent communication and telephone skillsConsistently follows hospital departmental policies and procedures

Requirements

Bachelor of Science in Medical Technology/Clinical Laboratory Science or related science - MT/MLSAssociate Degree in Clinical Laboratory Technology or related science - MLTSuccessful completion of School for Medical Technology/Clinical Laboratory Science

Preferred Requirements

Certification as MT(ASCP), MLS(ASCP), CLS(NCA) or equivalent preferred
